Discovery Camp Week 9

Thursday was a very special, exciting day for Discovery. In the morning, the campers were visited by guest speaker Ann Marie Krahel from S.A.V.E. Animal Shelter with her rescued dog named “Tess.” Together, they taught the kids how it’s a lot better to adopt a dog in need than a dog from a breeder, because a dog from a shelter is in need of a home much more. Dogs in shelters are most likely very scared and don’t even have toys. The campers had made toys and treats in the previous days and they donated them to S.A.V.E. so that the dogs from the animal shelter would have toys to play with. Afterwards, the campers went outside to make thank you banners for the U.S Army that came on Friday. The artwork came out amazing.
